Privacy

This page explains the information used by the game and the choices available in your browser.

Progress and settings on your device

You can play the solo story without an account. The game uses browser local storage to remember banked cash, upgrades, story milestones, round winnings, your multiplayer nickname, sound preferences and graphics quality.

These values stay in your browser until cleared or replaced. Removing this site's data through your browser settings also removes your saved progress and preferences.

Gameplay analytics

When configured for a deployment, the game sends events to PostHog's EU endpoint to help understand how the game is used. Events include loading time, starting runs, time spent playing, lift outcomes, deaths and story milestones, plus the game build and whether touch controls are used.

PostHog uses an identifier in local storage to recognize returning browsers. It can receive browser and device information, page and referrer URLs, and the IP address used to make a request. The identifier is not your real name, but the data should not be treated as completely anonymous.

The game disables automatic click capture, automatic page-view and page-leave events, session recordings and surveys. The current configuration starts analytics automatically when its deployment key is set. There is currently no in-game analytics consent or opt-out control.

Clearing local storage removes the browser identifier but does not delete events already sent to PostHog. Server-side retention depends on the analytics project's settings. Read PostHog's privacy policy for information about the provider.

Hosting and fonts

The site uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting. Requests disclose network information, including an IP address and requested URL, to the host. The game also requests fonts from Google Fonts. About, stories and this page use system fonts and do not initialize the game's analytics module.

See the Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

Online rooms

When online multiplayer is available and you join a room, the relay receives your chosen nickname and gameplay messages. Your nickname and relevant game state are shared with other players. Choose a nickname you are comfortable sharing.

The relay keeps room state in memory. Hosting providers may separately retain operational logs.

Supporting the game

The support button opens Buy Me a Coffee. Payments take place on that service under its own policies; this game does not collect payment-card details.

Your choices

Your browser lets you clear or restrict this site's stored data. Restricting storage can prevent progress and preferences from being saved. A content blocker may block analytics requests.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to a data protection authority.
